Tourism, relaxation and treatment:
Târgoviște Municipality has a higher touristic potential due to the existence of valuable cultural and historical monuments, as well as of natural conditions and picturesque landscape.
The city takes pride in the historical vestiges:

Royal Court, built by Mircea the Elder in 1395, extended by Petru Cercel in 1583 and renovated by Matei Basarab and Constantin Brâncoveanu in the 17th century;

Chindiei Tower, built by Vlad the Impaler, with a height of 27 m, being one of the symbols of the city;

40 churches and monasteries;

History Museum, Museum of printing press and old books, Museum of writers and Gheorghe Petrașcu Memorial Museum;

Reference points for modern culture: the Cultural Centre of Trade Unions, Youth Cultural Centre, Army Cultural Centre, Mihai Popescu Theatre and Tony Bulandra Theatre;
Târgoviște Municipality aims to implement a series of projects for improving the urban and touristic infrastructure, in order to attract domestic and external tourists. A series of marketing and advertising actions in this field will be also taken.
